  • We have been invited to partipate in a growing annual event. We have voted for this as one of our main Southern California events.

  • Battle of Short Hills
  • The Battle of Short Hills commemorates a holding action by New Jersey forces in June of 1777. Presented by the Brigade of the American Revolution, and hosted by the 3rd New Jersey Regiment, (the Jersey Greys) this promises to be a good sized event. If anyone from the Colonel's Company wants to particpate please let us know. Registration closes 10 June.

  • Old Fort MacArthur Days
  • We have voted to support OFMD as our second main Southern California event for 2017. We will camp the same place we did last year. Registration is open! The participant fee has gone up to $15. Please let us know if you plan to participate this year.

  • The Northwest Colonial Festival
  • As it says on their home page: "It's 1775 again...".
  • We have sanctioned this event for any of our members who wish to participate even though the 33rd wasn't actually in North America in 1775. Let's face it, we weren't in the Carribean in 1718 either, but we'll take our fun where we can get it!

  • Saturday, Sunday - 2 - 3 September
  • Before the Siege: the British in Yorktown
  • Before the Siege: the British in Yorktown is our Back East travel event for 2017. BTS is a commemoration of the time that the British and Crown forces were in Yorktown, preparing its defenses before the Continentals and French arrived. We have access to some historic and re-created buildings, and the chance to engage in interpretation and camp life over several blocks of Yorktown's historic Main Street. This is an unparallelled opportuntiy to walk in the footsteps of one of the 33rd Regiment's most significant actions.

  • This event is growing and we are very welcome by the town of Nevada City. Let's try to get more of the 33rd there!

  • The Hart Canyon Rendezvous was washed out due to heavy rains!

  • Big Horn Mountain Men Rendezvous
  • This is a fun venue, and a great chance for us to mingle with other black powder shooters in the Southern California area. Those of us going to Yorktown will not be able to make it over Labor Day weekend, but the Big Horn Rendezvous continues through the following weekend.
